Build definitions are managed from the Builds area of the Team Explorer View. The build definition functionality differs depending on the version of Team Foundation Server (2005 or 2008) to which you are connected. To determine which version of Team Foundation Server you are talking to, right click on the Builds folder in Team Explorer. If the item “Manage Build Agents” is disabled then you are connected to Team Foundation Server 2005.
