Before you begin

To begin working with Teamprise and Team Foundation Server (TFS) you will need to complete the following tasks:

  1. Before you connect to a TFS, set up a directory on your local drive for your source control projects. For example, (if you work on a trunk and branches, you might create a directory, C:\TFS_trunk; if not, you can simply create a directory after the name of the Team Project: c:\TeamProj_Name.
Note: The important thing to remember is to match your local directory structure as closely as possible to the directory structure of your project in TFS to avoid hierarchy conflicts.

  2. Launch Teamprise and login to TFS.
  3. Create a TFS workspace.
  4. Add a working folder mapping to your TFS Workspace.
  5. Use the Teamprise Get Latest action to retrieve source control files to your local machine; or, Add files from your local machine to TFS source control.
