The TFS workspace is the central concept in the Team Foundation source control feature set. Whether you are checking in files and folders to source control or retrieving files from the server to your local computer, a TFS workspace is the mechanism by which all transactions with the server are brokered.
The TFS workspace comprises a set of working folder mappings. These mappings represent the location of your source controlled Local Folders and their corresponding Repository Folders.
Whenever you login to Teamprise the TFS workspace is always the last workspace you used.
