Teamprise provides a unique power search dialog not available in Visual Studio. You can narrow your search to a particular criteria such as Project, Area, Iteration, Work Item type, State, or Assigned to; you can also narrow your search by a date range, or specify Search field(s). In the Search terms box you can type any word or phrase and Teamprise will auto generate the WIQL to preview or to copy to to an editor.
To open the Search for work items dialog, locate the Work Items directory in the Team Explorer tree, right-click and select Search. Note: This dialog is also available from the Work Items channel in the Pending Changes view.
After selecting your criteria, you run the search by clicking OK. The Editor window displays the results.

You can also save your Search to your local machine as .wiq file for later viewing or emailing to a team member.
